La Maestra Foundation 21st Annual Golf Tournament

This year, on Friday, April 26, 2024, we will come together at La Maestra's Annual Golf Tournament. We invite you to join us as a generous sponsor to provide needed services for under-resourced individuals and families. Funds from the golf tournament will benefit La Maestra's I Choose Recovery (ICR) Program. For 14 years, La Maestra has provided onsite transitional housing and integrated health and wellness services at ICR. Many of the ICR Program participants are previously incarcerated men. ICR is more than a sober living environment. The program provides various integrated services, including medical, dental, mental, and behavioral health treatment, transportation assistance, public program application assistance, and access to an onsite food pantry.

At La Maestra, we are passionate about enhancing health and wellness services to address the needs of our community. For over three decades, La Maestra has developed the La Maestra Circle of Care® services, a holistic, solution-based approach to care that includes wraparound social services to address poverty, as well as high-quality, affordable, culturally and linguistically competent primary and specialty health care for low-income, uninsured, underinsured, homeless, and previously incarcerated individuals living in central, east, and south San Diego County.

In 2023, La Maestra expanded the housing program with a grant and partnership with San Diego County Health and Human Services and the San Diego County Probation Department to add additional housing units. In addition, La Maestra is expanding housing by building the Housing for Hope Project to meet the increasing need for services. Housing for Hope will provide 21 housing units for over 40 individuals and is slated to be finished and serving clients by 2026.

La Maestra's golf event will bring together partners from all over San Diego County at the Sycuan Singing Hills Golf Resort – Willow Glen Course in El Cajon. This event serves as an opportunity to unite healthcare professionals, philanthropists, and compassionate individuals who share our vision of ensuring accessible and quality healthcare and housing for all.
